Commitment
Senior management endorses this Environmental Policy and is responsible for ensuring it is communicated, understood, implemented and maintained throughout DMT.
We are committed to continually improving our Environmental Management System, referred to as the EMS, to enhance environmental performance and minimise our impact on the global and local environment.
Objectives and compliance
Environmental objectives are set with regard to significant environmental aspects, compliance obligations, operational risks and opportunities. Results are communicated to interested parties where appropriate.
DMT is committed to meeting applicable compliance obligations relating to our environmental aspects and ISO 14001:2015, and to providing the resources, support, direction and encouragement needed to operate the EMS effectively.
How we put the policy into practice
We aim to:
- integrate environmental management into relevant business processes;
- consider the environmental lifecycle of products and prevent pollution;
- reduce waste and segregate, reuse and recycle materials where economically and operationally feasible;
- use energy, water, materials and natural resources as efficiently as possible;
- consider environmental factors when procuring goods and services;
- give appropriate environmental consideration to the products and services we provide;
- work with interested parties to encourage ongoing environmental improvement; and
- support relevant management roles in demonstrating environmental leadership within their areas of responsibility.
Management and review
DMT certifies that the scope of its management system and associated documentation describe its use within the company to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. The EMS is monitored, measured, evaluated and improved under senior management responsibility, with regular reporting and communication of its status and effectiveness.
